Bio

Chris Graham is a JUNO award-winning producer, engineer, songwriter and performer who has worked for a variety of successful artists in genres ranging from pop and rock to jazz and children’s music. Chris produced the album "Heart Parade" for children's music group Splash'N Boots, which won the 2021 JUNO Award for Children's Album of the Year. He also previously recorded and produced 3 other JUNO-nominated albums for them as well. He co-wrote, recorded, produced and mixed the #1 selling albums "Bandshell" and “Daydream” by vocal jazz artist Tia Brazda, as well as her latest "When I Get Low", which was done entirely by remote during the pandemic. These albums involved recording at a variety of studios and spaces, with an assortment of musicians and instrumentations. Songs Chris has written or co-written have aired on radio stations around the world as well as placed in many feature films and television series and have received numerous awards and accolades.

Chris has toured the world with a variety of acts, performing at clubs and festivals across North America and Europe, including at the Montreux Jazz Festival and the Festival International de Jazz de Montreal with Canadian jazz singer Tia Brazda. Previously Chris has performed with indie-rock bands CANVAS, FIRExFIRE and The Framework (Last Gang).

Chris originally studied music at Wilfrid Laurier University and the University of Toronto. After that he apprenticed with Canadian film composer Rob Carli, arranging music for CBC and CTV. He has also written original scores for the award-winning short films Vodka, Winter and the Cry of Violin and Parent-Teacher Night.

Chris is also the founder of Flatcar Records, a boutique record label that is home to artists from a variety of genres, with a focus on jazz and roots music.
